What does WandAid do?

WandAid aims to empower challenged communities impacted by natural disaster and disadvantage by funding humanitarian aid focused on sustainable economic recovery. We are targeting our fundraising efforts towards smaller, manageable projects that are really making an impact towards the successful recovery of devastated communities and finding long-term self-sustainable solutions.

Alongside this, we use magic to entertain, enhance and promote psychological recovery so that families can rebuild their lives.

WandAid’s Mission

To assist the economic and psychological recovery of those communities that have been destroyed by natural disaster, targeting our fundraising efforts towards smaller, manageable projects that are really making an impact towards the successful recovery of devastated communities.

Most recently in March 2016, Jim Carter, Liz Trubridge, Linda Cruse and Richard Pinner visited Nepal on behalf of WandAid and worked with a number of people in Kathmandu to see firsthand the effects of the earthquake and performed several magic shows to bring a smile to the faces of those affected. See Richard and Jim in action here.

Who we help

How we make a difference. WandAid works on the principle of providing challenged communities with targeted assistance so that they can utilise their existing skills and resources to help rebuild their own lives and get their livelihoods back on a self-sustainable track.
